DFSee downloads - package - installers - CD - USB-stick - diskette

DFS icon   Latest STABLE DFSee complete archive using the installation .ZIP or the version specific .ZIP (10 Mb ZIP, all 5 platforms)
This is the complete standard package that includes all binary versions for OS2/eCS, DOS, Windows-NT/XP/7/8/10, Linux and Mac plus some very useful scripts and the ASCII documentation and examples in the DFS*.TXT and *.PDF files. Note that after a short evaluation period you are required to register and pay for the program. Unregistered versions remind you of this at startup and termination of the program and it is not possible to use batch-mode for unattended operation. Otherwise the program is fully functional.

Warpin   Latest STABLE DFSee OS/2 Warpin archive using the installation .WPI (6 Mb EXE, OS2/eCS only!)
This contains all OS2 related stuff, the documentation and the executable to create a FreeDOS bootable diskette with DFSDOS on it.
The Warpin installer will install the files in a specified directory, and create a nice DFSee folder on your desktop with the program and documentation objects inside. It can be moved anywhere you like after installation.

MS-installer   Latest STABLE DFSee Windows archive using the installation .MSI (5 Mb, W2K/XP/Vista/Win7/8/10 only!)
Either run the MSI directly from this web-page, or download the MSI file, open the download folder with Explorer and double-click the archive. It uses the standard installer that comes with Windows-2000 and XP. The archive contains all Windows related stuff, the documentation and the executable to create a FreeDOS bootable diskette with DFSDOS on it. The MSI installer will install the files in a specified directory, and create a DFSee folder in your startup menu with the program and documentation objects inside.

Note that starting with version 14.8 you will be able to update (install) DFSee on all supported platforms, using its own menu: 'Help -> Program Updates / Downloads'

Individual downloads for the UNIX platforms

Latest STABLE version, Linux TARBAL (1.5 Mb .tgz)

Latest STABLE version, macOS TARBAL (1.5 Mb .tgz)

To install the TARBALs on a typical Linux or Mac OS X system use commands much like the following:

  mkdir dfsee
  cd dfsee
  tar -x -z -f /download/dfsee_yyy.tgz
  chmod +x setup
  ./setup

Where 'yyy' is 'linux' or 'macos' respectively. And to run DFSee ('su' required unless you are logged on as 'root'):

  sudo
  ./dfsee

More user-friendly ways of installing for Linux (packages, RPM) and the MAC (App-bundle, DMG image) are under investigation.
